Lee and Collier Counties were included in SmartAsset’s “Places With the Most Incoming Investments” list for Florida.
Counties in the analysis were measured by the growth in the number of businesses over a four-year period.
Lee County ranked No. 6 in the state, with a reported 10.6% business growth; Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of $2.623 million; 17.7 new building permits per 1,000 homes; $46 in federal funding per capita; and an overall Business Growth Index of 67.58.
Collier County ranked No. 10 in the state, with 10.1% business growth; $1.691 million GDP; 19.6 new building permits per 1,000 homes; $164 in federal funding per capita; and an overall Business Growth Index of 66.82.
