The August General Membership Meeting of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce will be music to members’ ears as performing artist Sheena Brook offers a mini-concert and members of the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) reveal details of the sixth annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest.
The VCB will announce the final list of sponsors and musicians scheduled to perform at the 10-day event in September. Brook, a country singer-songwriter from Fort Myers Beach who has appeared on NBC’s “The Voice,” will offer entertainment during the chamber luncheon.
The August luncheon is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15 at St. Charles Yacht Club, 15900 St. Charles Harbour Blvd. in Fort Myers.
The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest runs from Sept. 20-29 at locations in Captiva, Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. Top performers include Gone West, Kristian Bush, Ryan Hurd, Earl Bud Lee, Dylan Altman and others. As Lee County’s tourism marketing agency, the VCB promotes the region’s travel opportunities, activities and events to a local, statewide, national and international audience.
Admission to the August luncheon event is $25 for prepaid Chamber members and $35 for future members and those who pay at the door. To learn more or to register for the event, visit FortMyers.org or call 239-332-3624.
