FMPD K-9 “Balor” Receives Protective Vest

Fort Myers Police K-9 Officer Balor was presented with a new a ballistic vest thanks to a charitable donation from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s Inc.

K-9 Balor and his partner, Officer Jari Sanders, were given the custom-fitted vest on Wednesday, July 31st, by Cathy Lowe, Executive Vice President of Fort Myers based Survival Armor Inc.

Vested Interest in K9s Inc. is a 501c (3) charity located in East Taunton, MA., whose mission is to provide ballistic vests to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.

K9 Balor’s vest was sponsored by Kimberly Shader of Orlando, FL., and embroidered with the sentiment “Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always”.  

The FMPD is extremely grateful for the support of Vested Interest in K9’s, Survival Armor, and all those who support our two and four-legged officers.
