Mommy and Me Pilates
Friday: Club Pilatesis teaming up with The Little Gym of Fort Myers to bring you a FREEMommy and Me Pilates class from 2:30 – 3:30 pm! Designed for babies and children up to 18 months we want to help get you and your little ones moving! For mommies, both first time and not, Pilates can help gently balance and strengthen your hips, core, and pelvic floor with low impact exercises. Whether you’re experienced and looking to step up your training or you’re simply looking to start a new fitness routine, Pilates creates a strong foundation of balance, strength, mobility, and flexibility. We will be accepting donations for PACE Center for Girls – a center that helps the gender-specific needs of at-risk girls and young women in Lee County.
Art WalkMystery Walk
Friday: A must do in the River District social scene is the monthly Art Walk. Always on the First Friday, visit the many exciting galleries, exhibitions, and performances. FREE to the public with many venues featuring additional attractions and specials. Rain or shine, 6-10 pm.
Friday: Local surrealistic and fantasy artists have joined together to create this show, Re-imagined, as an homage and to invite you into how the fantastical has inspired us to create. Creations of visual art to wearable art, surrealistic to high fantasy, will delight and inspire. The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center is proud to present this show, opening tonight at 6 pm and runs through August 29th. General Admission is a requested $1 entry donation.
Back to School Block Party
Saturday: The School District of Lee County is kicking off the school year with a Back-to-School Block Party from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.atBell Tower Shops. Presented in partnership with Safe Kids Southwest Florida, Lee County’s largest back-to-school block party is FREE and open to the public, offering family-friendly fun for all ages, including a “Safe-to-School” Safety Zone, interactive games, a bounce house, giveaways, music and a visit from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to include Sheriff Carmine Marceno, multiple school resource officers and Deputy Dogs. The “Safe-to-School” Safety Zone will get K-12 students ready to roll for straight-A safety, highlighting important safety tips for pedestrians, bicyclists, bus stop safety, driving and other student-related safety recommendations.
Feline Fiesta @ Fort Myers Cat Show
Saturday & Sunday:Feline Fiesta is a CFA CAT SHOW & Cat Rescue at the Araba Temple. Kittens for Adoption and Exhibition Show. There will also be CFA Registered Purebred Cats for Adoption. The two-day event is fun for the whole family.
